Recently, travellers have increasingly prioritized health and wellness, influencing their destination choices based on available services. This trend has reduced tourism seasonality, enhanced sustainability, and improved labour quality. Aims: This article aims to highlight effective practices that integrate health services with thermal spa treatments in the tourism sector. The objective is to promote knowledge exchange and stimulate cross-border collaborations, enhancing the appeal and sustainability of health tourism in Europe. Methods: The study examines a case involving a psoriasis patient, where innovative thermal spa services were developed. These services use information technology to foster personalized healthy lifestyles and holistic care, integrated with broader cultural, natural, gastronomic, and sports tourism offerings. Results: Integrating thermal spa treatments with digital health solutions and a comprehensive tourism offer has led to improved patient well-being, increased destination attractiveness, and the development of sustainable tourism models that reflect the sociocultural heritage of European regions. Discussion: Thermal spa environments support a holistic approach to health promotion by combining treatments with exposure to natural spaces, physical activities, physiotherapy, and health education. The digital transformation of healthcare offers an opportunity to create personalized, sustainable health tourism that reflects Europe’s rich cultural heritage. Conclusions: Combining health services, digital innovation, and a diverse tourism offer can create sustainable, culturally rich health tourism experiences that enhance patient care and contribute to the economic vitality of European destinations.
