This chapter describes how recycling of plant nutrients from organic waste streams would reduce both resource waste and environmental degradation, while contributing to closing nutrient loops. By the examples of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) fertilizers it is shown how bio-based fertilizing products (BFP) are obtained and applied in agricultural production.
