Towards a Novel Competency-Based Graduate Follow-Up Model in the Agro-Industrial Sector: A Brief Review
摘要
The agro-industrial sector in Ecuador demands skilled professionals to meet labor market challenges. In this context, this study presents a novel competency-based graduate follow-up model, comprising ten interdependent phases aligned with fifteen key competencies. These were identified through statistical analysis of data collected from surveys and structured interviews conducted with 320 professionals and 57 companies within the productive sector. These identified competencies -including critical thinking, analytical skills to resilience under pressure- serve as a foundation for assessing the employability and the relevance of their academic environment. The model aims to assess employability, facilitating institutional decision-making, labor market insertion, and curriculum adaptation. It also supports a stronger alignment between educational outcomes and industry needs, promoting innovation and quality in agro-industrial education.
