Webinars, a Mass Training Strategy During COVID-19 Pandemic Contingency at Mexico-IPN
摘要
Educational and technological ecosystems take the biological system as a reference in its principles of networks and interconnections, as well as the deployment of knowledge for better conservation of the system and its substantive elements. During the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico, the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) faced the need to enable its teaching staff to use digital teaching resources, as well as emerging methodologies that would contribute to establishing a teaching practice in confinement and carry out various strategies to deploy their knowledge to support students. As a result of health contingency derived from COVID-19, Mexico-IPN decided to continue with remote academic activities, for which it implemented a Continuity Plan based on digital resources and tools, including a training strategy based on webinars, to offer the Institute’s teaching staff a vast repertoire of tools and digital resources to enrich their educational work. According to their teaching style, teachers and students continued their activities using various technological tools even with training deficiencies. As a result, 80% of students concluded their respective semesters, according to the Academic Continuity Report presented at the VII Ordinary Session of the XXXVIII General Advisory Council.
