This research article evaluates the benefits of implementing a business intelligence model in the institutional self-assessment processes of the Universidad Tecnológica Israel. It describes how the analysis of key data from different institutional areas facilitates informed decision-making and supports continuous improvement. The model focuses on key performance indicators related to quantitative indicators aligned to strategic objectives and accreditation processes. By using tools such as Power BI and an extract, transform, and load (ETL) process, it is ensured that data is accurate, accessible, and useful for continuous monitoring and quality improvement. The article concludes that business intelligence not only strengthens the capacity of institutions to comply with accreditation and regulatory standards, but also promotes a culture of continuous improvement and optimizes academic and administrative management. This model, therefore, is presented as an essential tool for sustainable development and excellence in higher education.
