摘要
The purpose of this research is to determine the level of stage fright in the learning of the English language in the speaking ability of high school students. The present research corresponds to a quantitative approach, basic type through a non-experimental design. A 20-item Likert scale questionnaire was used as an instrument to measure the variable stage fright, with a sample of 195 high school students. It had the support through a validation by three expert judges and reliability (0.88), and a sample of 195 students was considered through non-probabilistic sampling. The general hypothesis of the study was verified with the result that the level of stage fright in high school students is medium. In this sense, it was concluded that most high school students have average levels of stage fright variables. This is confirmed by the answers provided in each item, where the answers “sometimes” and “almost always” are dominant.
