This study addresses the critical issue of walkability as a key element in promoting sustainable and healthy urban environments. It responds to the growing need for urban planning models to promote walkability in hot-arid cities such as Jeddah. The study sets out two research objectives: to identify the physical and social dimensions of walkability and to evaluate the effectiveness of existing pedestrian-related efforts in order to better align the existing strategies to promote walkability. The case study will tackle one of the major arterials in Jeddah, which is Al Tahlia Street. Using quantitative methods of the questionnaire, the study evaluates initiatives along Al-Tahlia Street, identifies their impact, and highlights gaps in design and planning. The results are analyzed using SPSS statistical analysis. The study concludes with recommendations aligned with Vision 2030 and the Quality-of-Life Program for enhancing walkability in Saudi cities.
