The integration of Extended Reality (XR) technologies, including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR), is rapidly transforming traditional educational paradigms. This chapter explores the potential of XR to redefine teaching and learning by fostering immersive, interactive and student-centered experiences. Drawing on recent empirical studies, pedagogical frameworks and technological advancements, we examine how XR enhances cognitive engagement, facilitates experiential learning and bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The research also investigates institutional challenges, such as infrastructure, accessibility and faculty preparedness that influence effective XR adoption. Through case studies and student feedback, we highlight best practices and propose strategic recommendations for integrating XR into diverse educational contexts.
