“I’d Never Been on Work Calls Before Where I Hung Up the Phone and Wept”: Changes to Parents’ Working Lives
摘要
This chapter analyses changes imposed by the pandemic on parents’ working lives, exploring, for example, how parents navigated working at home with their children, the challenges presented for parents who continued to have to leave their homes for the workplace and the testimonies of parents who were furloughed or lost jobs as a consequence of the pandemic. In the context of literature on working parenthood, the chapter examines how these different working situations affected parents’ lives and their relationships with their children.
