Waste management is a critical determinant of environmental quality and housing satisfaction, particularly in public housing estates in Lagos Metropolis. This study assesses residents’ perceptions of waste management efficiency and its influence on overall housing satisfaction in selected public housing estates in Lagos Metropolis. A cross-sectional survey approach was employed, utilising structured questionnaires distributed to residents across multiple estates. The study examined key factors such as waste collection frequency, disposal methods, infrastructure adequacy, and responsiveness of waste management authorities. Data was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to establish relationships between perceived waste management efficiency and housing satisfaction. Findings revealed significant correlations between waste management effectiveness and residents’ well-being, contributing to policy recommendations for sustainable waste collection strategies in public housing. The study emphasises the importance of enhancing infrastructure, fostering community engagement, and implementing targeted policy interventions to improve livability.
