Additionally, AI can assist in identifying patterns and trends in project data to improve decision-making and optimize scheduling processes. Therefore, this study explored how AI can be applied for automated project planning and scheduling. An illustrative case study of a hypothetical project was designed to demonstrate the applicability of AI for automated project planning and scheduling. The project involved the construction of a new building, with various tasks and dependencies that needed to be carefully scheduled. Through the use of AI, the predictive analytics were able to identify potential delays in material delivery and adjust the timeline accordingly, resulting in a more efficient and cost-effective project completion. The study also found that construction project managers can benefit from increased efficiency, reduced errors, and improved project outcomes by incorporating AI into project planning and scheduling. It can also help optimize resource allocation and manage project risks more effectively. The study concludes that by utilizing AI for automated project planning and scheduling, construction project managers can streamline their decision-making processes.
