Conclusion
摘要
C. S. Peirce has proposed the thesis that mind is semiosis, a triadic process of sign action. 100 years later, after the emergence of process- and complexity-oriented paradigms in cognitive science and evolutionary biology, the thesis that cognition is semiosis takes on new aspects: semiosis is emergent, dynamic, self-organized, multi-level, multimodal (not only symbolic) and out there (“out of our heads”).
