In this chapter we collect some immediate applications of the optimality theory of the previous chapter in the context of G-complete reducibility, including some significant generalisations of earlier results from this book. A theme of the chapter is that the optimality constructions allow proofs which are very short and uniform (free of any case checks), demonstrating the power of the geometric approach.

摘要

In this chapter we collect some immediate applications of the optimality theory of the previous chapter in the context of G-complete reducibility, including some significant generalisations of earlier results from this book. A theme of the chapter is that the optimality constructions allow proofs which are very short and uniform (free of any case checks), demonstrating the power of the geometric approach.
