In this chapter we briefly describe some topics which build on ideas from earlier in the book. Most of them are to do with G-complete reducibility one way or another, but we also look at some wider applications of geometric invariant theory methods to the study of subgroups of G. Unless stated otherwise, we keep our convention that k is algebraically closed and G is a reductive group over k.

摘要

In this chapter we briefly describe some topics which build on ideas from earlier in the book. Most of them are to do with G-complete reducibility one way or another, but we also look at some wider applications of geometric invariant theory methods to the study of subgroups of G. Unless stated otherwise, we keep our convention that k is algebraically closed and G is a reductive group over k.
