The rapid rise of DevOps has substantially expedited software development and deployment processes. However, this shift has also heightened security vulnerabilities, making DevOps pipelines increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can strengthen the security of DevOps pipelines through advanced threat identification and mitigation strategies. AI is now being deployed within DevOps to automate repetitive processes, reduce manual intervention, and enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). However, organizations struggle to integrate AI-driven security, resulting in fragmented approaches that are inadequate for today’s evolving threat landscape. This paper offers practical guidance for seamlessly integrating AI into DevOps, enhancing security, trust, and efficiency. We examine how AI can be applied within CI/CD pipelines, address key challenges, and explore the future of AI-enhanced cybersecurity in DevOps. Our goal is to empower organizations to leverage AI for a robust and secure DevOps lifecycle.
