Healthcare communication is greatly enhanced by the work of medical interpreters, particularly in multilingual societies. These professionals, however, face complex challenges, including linguistic, cultural, and ethical constraints, compounded by emotional strain and limited opportunities for professional development. Technological innovations, such as telehealth, mobile applications, virtual reality (VR), and online interactive courses, and, more broadly, emerging tools such as artificial intelligence (AI), offer significant opportunities to strengthen the capabilities of medical interpreters. These tools enhance skills, training, and confidence by providing interactive learning environments, real-time resources, and access to medical knowledge. This chapter examines the impact of incorporating technology into interpreter training and suggests that such integration improves both the competence and effectiveness of interpreters, leading to better patient outcomes. Drawing on both quantitative and qualitative methods, the study provides valuable insights into the effectiveness of technological solutions and highlights the importance of ongoing professional support for interpreters.

摘要
