Two groups of people who build reproductions of ancient projectileProjectile weapons, or use them for competition or hunting, are described. The experimental archaeologists seek to better understand ancient technologyTechnology; hobbyists make or use ancient weapons for competition or hunting. Representatives of these groups, and their views on their subject, are presented. TheEye, quiet eye ‘quiet eye’ notion of enhanced hand-eye coordination, and a possible evolutionary influence on humans by ancient weapons of long standing, is speculated upon.
