Ciano’s Lover
摘要
Lisa Sergio’s venture into radio began in the summer of 1933, roughly the same time as Ciano, just back from China, was tapped to head Mussolini’s Press Office. For about a year the now ex-archaeologist was installed on the third and top floor of Palazzo Chigi, known as “the dovecote” for its cramped, makeshift quarters. It was not until July 1934 that the entire staff moved into the Palazzo Balestra on Via Veneto, and on September 10 the elegantly renovated space would become the headquarters of the newly established Undersecretariat for Press and Propaganda, again under the leadership of the Duce’s son-in-law.
