It’s a bold leap to go from archaeology to radio broadcasting. And none other than Guglielmo Marconi, the 1909 Nobel Laureate in Physics, was, it appears, responsible. We say it appears so because, in order to reconstruct Sergio’s professional transformation, which dates back to 1933, all we have to go on is her own, ever murky version of events.
