Sergio didn’t shrink from life after being forced to leave WQXR in March 1946. Over the next two or three years she was a not infrequent guest on other stations. She also boosted her speaking engagements, participated in various liberal advocacy groups and took to traveling intensely, especially in war-torn Europe and the Middle East, gathering firsthand news for her work. Her reputation wasn’t tarnished, nor were her public-speaking skills, even if once again the fact that there remains little documentation prevents us from accurately assessing the value of her own analyses.
