In this chapter, salient motifs and themes are identified, catalogued, and explored. The findings herein focus on, but are not limited to (1) causes for killing the Sun, (2) quantities and characteristics of the luminaries, (3) hero and donor profiles, (4) luminary-killing weapons, (5) phases of the quest to the end of the world, (6) the Age of Darkness, and (7) new cosmic order.
