This chapter considers select studies on non-Formosan Shooting the Sun myths and offers an in-depth examination of previous studies on Formosan Shooting the Sun myths. Moreover, the modern relevance of Shooting the Sun myths among Taiwan’s aboriginal tribes in contemporary political protests, public works and buildings, tribal tourism packaging, ritual performances, and currently held beliefs and taboos are also covered.
