This chapter explores the complexities of delivering humanitarian aid in active war and conflict zones, with a particular focus on Gaza. It examines the unique challenges faced by aid workers in such environments, contrasting them with those encountered in natural disasters. The chapter also analyses the current conditions in Gaza, the ongoing aid efforts, and the systemic obstacles that hinder effective relief delivery. Strategies to maintain aid flow are discussed, alongside the broader question of why these challenges often seem insurmountable. This case is prepared through discourse analysis of qualitative newspaper outlet data and conceptualises the condition of Gaza in a theoretical framework.
