NucleoConvert: An Integrated Platform for DNA-to-RNA Conversion and Sequence Analysis

NucleoConvert is a comprehensive bioinformatics platform designed to streamline the conversion of DNA sequences into RNA while integrating sophisticated analytical and visualization functionalities. Developed using the flexible and interactive R Shiny framework, this tool automates essential sequence-processing tasks and implements rigorous quality control protocols. Users can efficiently clean sequences, assess sequence integrity, and execute a variety of in-depth analyses within a unified, intuitive interface. These analyses include positional nucleotide distribution assessments, dinucleotide frequency profiling, sequence complexity evaluations, codon usage analysis, detection of open reading frames (ORFs), and poly(A) tails identification. By combining powerful sequence transformation capabilities with detailed analytical insights and interactive visualizations, NucleoConvert represents a significant advancement in bioinformatics software. Its user-friendly design and comprehensive feature set make it particularly valuable for educational settings, preliminary research activities, and researchers seeking efficient and reproducible bioinformatics workflows. Our tests show the model performs well on common sequence datasets, but we plan to improve current shortcomings like annotation integration and alignment features in future updates.
