History of MRI in Radiation Oncology 1995–2005
摘要
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has impacted radiation oncology by improving diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment delivery. In this chapter, the origins of MRI are reviewed, from the discovery of nuclear magnetic resonance to the development of the first full-body MRI scanner and, finally, to the early clinical applications in oncology. Applications of MRI in radiation oncology are also discussed.
