Optical Spectroscopy for Environmental Applications
摘要
These lecture notes provide an introduction to optical spectroscopyOptical spectroscopy and show some of its applications in environmentalEnvironmental researchResearch. We begin discussing what we mean by optical spectroscopyOptical spectroscopy and the main techniques used, based on the phenomena of absorption, emission, and scattering that occur when light interacts with solid, liquid, or gaseous matter. Then we continue presenting some of the environmentalEnvironmental applications and finish with a brief discussion of the advantages of the use of optical spectroscopyOptical spectroscopy.
