Towards the end of the last century and the beginning of the twenty-first century, the movement of people from the Global South including Africa to Europe has reshaped the cultural, political, economic, and social life of Europe. The ecclesial landscape of Europe has also undergone a significant transformation due to the presence and the remarkable impact of African Christians on the European continent. This presence is translated into the formation of African immigrant churches all over Europe. For the past three decades, Germany has recorded an increase in the establishment of these churches. They play significant roles in the lives of African immigrants and beyond. This chapter offers an insight into the development of African immigrant churches as faith communities in Germany. It explores the challenges they face in terms of ecclesial identity and cultural orientation. The chapter explores the current development taking place among the second-generation individuals of African immigrants in Germany, namely the establishment of post-migration churches.
