AI System for Detecting Lung Diseases & Patient Management: Acoustic Diagnostics
摘要
AI-aided devices can detect respiratory disorders through the analysis of lung sounds. This method is both effective and non-invasive for patients. Modern illnesses such as Asthma, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) affect a significant portion of the population. Every one of the diseases shows a unique characteristic of the lungs, for instance, rattling and wheezing. In the use of artificial intelligence for the diagnosis of different conditions affecting the lungs, the very first step is recording lung sounds from healthy individuals and patients suffering from different severities of asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, or COPD. These recordings are then organized into groups to facilitate analysis and comparison. An advanced system is used to remove any background noise, which leads to more accurate results. The audio recordings are subsequently translated into spectrograms—visual representations that show how sound frequencies change over time. There is no doubt that AI and informatics will revolutionize the early diagnosis of respiratory diseases, making it faster and more precise. The implementation of this technology has the potential to improve the management of lung health. Ultimately, this system could help reduce healthcare costs and alleviate the burden of chronic respiratory diseases. Simplifying and lowering the expenses associated with medical diagnoses is a crucial step toward greater efficiency.
