Trellis Structures of Block Codes
摘要
This chapter links convolutional and block codes by showing that the latter can be described by blocked trellises, thereby allowing to decode them with, e.g., the BCJR algorithm. The procedures to draw the trellis are the Wolf trellis directly based on the parity-check matrix, using the shift registers for systematic encoding, the \(\text {(u,u+v)}\) and Turyn constructions.
