This paper presents a survey of the pathologies and rehabilitation needs of a building in an advanced state of deterioration, preserving its architectural features and without compromising the stability of the structure. The Casa do Abate, the subject of this study, is located at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Vila Real, Portugal. The building was used as a bathhouse for agricultural work on the Prados farm and is currently used as a stable. A survey of the building’s history was carried out, identifying its structural system and existing pathologies. A photographic survey of the building was carried out and the materials used were characterized. After surveying the pathologies, their causes were identified and treatment was carried out.
