This study continues the series on Urban Rehabilitation (UR) in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM), constituting Part VI and updating data for the 2023–2024 biennium across seven municipalities: Santa Cruz (SC), Câmara de Lobos (CL), Ribeira Brava (RB), Machico, Calheta, São Vicente (SV), and Porto Moniz (PM). Data for the remaining four municipalities were submitted separately as Part V. Previous studies (Parts I–IV) were published in CIRMARE2023 and the fifth CIHEL2024. Following the established methodology, buildings are categorized as Rehabilitated Residential (EHR), Large Commercial and Services (GES), and Small Commercial and Services (PES), subdivided into PES with climate control >25 kW (PEScC) and ≤25 kW or without climate control (PESsC). Interventions are classified by phase: Project (P) or Completed Rehabilitation Work (RW, C). Energy Class ratings (CLEns), sourced from AREAM and PATRIRAM, serve as indicators of post-intervention energy performance. Two case studies from CL are presented: a mixed-use multifamily and commercial building, and a single-family home that also underwent expansion construction work (ECW). URAs were confirmed in all analyzed municipalities, alongside support programs such as IFFRU2020, PRID, and Casa + Eficiente. SC recorded the highest number of EHR rehabilitations, followed by Machico. Uptake of PRID and Casa + Eficiente was strongest in vulnerable urban areas. UR has significantly improved energy efficiency across ARM. However, SV and PM showed fewer interventions due to population dispersion and double insularity. URAs and support programs continue to promote equitable and sustainable territorial development.
