Sound pollution is considered by the World Health Organization to be one of the main causes of many diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the buildings offer acoustic comfort to their users for a better realization of their activities, especially the activities developed in the teaching environments. Considering this need the technical standards arise to assist the engineers and designer in obtaining the best performance for their buildings. This work aims to analyze the acoustic performance of the classrooms of a higher education institution to know if the conditions are compatible with the acoustic comfort necessary to this environment. The methodology consisted of a practical study with the acoustic analysis of the elements of the classrooms and the measurement of the sound pressure levels according to NBR10152/2017. It was found that the sound pressure levels representative of the classrooms were above the normative reference value for the type of use of these environments, showing that the acoustic performance of the rooms is unsatisfactory and needs to be improved with the exchange of the door systems, by systems of better sound insulation.

摘要
