Teaching Innovation in the Teaching of Economic History in the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism
摘要
Although most university programs seek to develop students’ teamwork and autonomous learning skills, in practice, students tend to play a rather passive role in the educational process. Our project was based on the implementation of educational activities that facilitate collaborative learning, more active and participatory teaching, with the aim of enhancing students’ creativity and, therefore, better learning. During the 2024–2025 academic year, we delved into the emergence of tourism in Spain in the 20th century, investigating each case using a teamwork strategy, the flipped classroom oriented towards students creating their own videos and also the screening of films related to tourism. The results have been excellent: the students have shown great motivation, a remarkable ability to organize themselves and work autonomously, and have acquired a higher level of knowledge than their peers in previous years in the same degree.
