Study Area
摘要
This chapter describes the most significant environmental and paleoenvironmental features of the Santa Cruz Province Central Plateau study area. The current landscape is analyzed by investigating the reliability of the current distribution of resources as analogs of past landscapes. Taphonomic and geoarchaeological considerations are incorporated into this analysis, demonstrating their significant potential to advance this research in two primary ways: evaluating which current landscape resources were potentially significant to past societies and providing insights into archaeological formation processes.
