NEB DESIGN: Design of a Teaching Methodology to Implement the New European Bauhaus in Higher Technical Studies
摘要
The New European Bauhaus is an interdisciplinary initiative that connects the European Green Deal with our living spaces and experiences, promoting a sustainable, inclusive and aesthetically enriching future. Its three main values (sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics) guide social transformation towards a more balanced and participatory environment. This document proposes a methodological framework based on the principles of the NEB for its application in design education in higher technical careers. The aim is for students to integrate these values into their approach to projects, considering aspects such as the use of reused materials, beauty in the creative process and inclusion through participatory methodologies such as Design Thinking. This proposal envisages introducing the NEB approach in specific subjects, common electives or modules within key subjects. To this end, an innovative teaching strategy is proposed that includes a project validation tool from the NEB perspective. As an example, an experience already made with this new methodology is presented. This innovative proposal becomes a contemporary driving force for learning design with a relevant social and environmental impact.
