The Epigenetic Landscape of Exercise in Human Health: An Overview
摘要
Exercise has long been recognized as a cornerstone of human health, exerting wide-ranging effects on physical, mental, and metabolic well-being. Recent advances in epigenetics have revealed deeper insights into how exercise impacts gene expression without altering the DNA sequence. This review provides an overview of the epigenetic mechanisms responsible for the health benefits of exercise, involving DNA methylation, histone modifications, and RNA-based regulations. We explore how these epigenetic modifications govern key physiological processes, and discuss their implications for disease prevention and health promotion.
