The chapter examines the aspects related to out-of-court dispute resolution systems that develop in digital platforms. Starting from an examination of existing empirical experiences and of the reference regulatory framework (European and national), it highlights the opportunity of guaranteeing, through such negotiation-type procedures, adequate instruments of protection for users operating within digital ecosystems that escape the dimensions of space and time that characterise legal systems.
