Maude-NPA is an analysis tool for cryptographic security protocols that takes into account the algebraic properties of the cryptosystem. Some cryptographic properties and protocols using them have been beyond Maude-NPA capabilities. Hash functions have been extensively used as a key component in cryptographic protocols, but have never been analysed in Maude-NPA. In this paper, we study some hash vulnerabilities and analyze several protocols using Maude-NPA.
