This chapter develops the epistemological and methodological foundations of constructive-interpretative research, advancing an understanding of research as a dialogical and theoretical process. Rejecting the logic of data collection as the accumulation of fragments, the authors emphasize the centrality of subjective sense production, in which dialogue constitutes a subjective and relational space. In this space, participants and researchers become agents whose singular productions interact and reciprocally enrich one another. The theoretical model emerges as the living core of research, constantly constituted by new hypotheses, indicators, and constructions that integrate empirical expressions with conceptual elaboration. Instruments rather than neutral devices are defined as dialogical resources that foster narratives and reflective positions, revealing subjectivity through the quality and organization of expression. This approach positions creativity and imagination as essential conditions for scientific work, situating the researcher’s subjectivity at the heart of theoretical production. By exemplifying these principles through diverse cases, this chapter highlights the heuristic value of subjective configurations as models that enable deeper intelligibility of human processes. Constructive-interpretative research is thus presented as a dynamic, unfinished, and generative process of knowledge production.
