This paper embarks on an exhaustive exploration of how PLS-SEM and FsQCA methodologies intertwine in economics and management research. Our analysis, spanning 196 scholarly works, unfolds three pivotal dimensions: Firstly, we chart the distribution of these works across a spectrum of academic journals, unravelling hidden publication patterns. Secondly, leveraging word cloud visualization, we delve into the frequency and prominence of keywords, offering a nuanced understanding of prevailing thematic trends. Lastly, we illuminate the complex interplay between authors, keywords, and documents through a rigorous co-citation analysis. Our investigation uncovers a compelling trend: Most reviewed literature gravitates towards the Journal of Business Research. Moreover, we discern a notable surge in research output, reaching its peak in 2023. This endeavour is a first attempt to provide the scholarly community with a holistic overview of the symbiotic application of PLS-SEM and FsQCA methodologies. Leveraging the expansive Scopus database, our work not only fills a critical gap but also serves as a guiding light for future research endeavours in this promising area of research.
