Connecting New Horizons and Frontiers: The Indo-Bangla Trans Railway Project on Regional Community and Peripheral Development, Paving the Path to Sustainable Planning
摘要
This paper discusses the Agartala-Akhaura railway transit, which holds a promise for improving the two nations’ geopolitical connections and trades by improving their connectivity. We have made an effort to pinpoint several facets of the railroad route. Railway transit is one of the main causes of an area’s fast growth processes and its influence on land use patterns. With reference to the impact of the Akhaura-Agartala railway transit (India-Bangladesh) on the Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) development pattern with respect to the railway route. To evaluate the changes in land use and land cover, Land Surface Temperature (LST) & NDVI, the study used remote sensing and GIS tools. The analysis of the paper has attempted to examine the changes that have taken place in the years 2017, 2020, and 2023.
