Smart technologies are revolutionizing the tourism industry by significantly enhancing various aspects, such as operational efficiency, personalized experiences for travellers, sustainable practices, and overall visitor satisfaction. Innovations like AI-driven chatbots offer immediate assistance to travellers, while IoT-enabled smart hotels provide tailored services that cater to individual preferences, creating a more immersive and enjoyable stay. This article seeks to explore the attitudes of Czech travellers towards the adoption of smart technologies during their international trips, aiming to uncover the fundamental factors that shape these attitudes. The findings of this study are grounded in primary research conducted through the Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing method on the sample of 339 participants across three distinct generations: Generation X, Generation Y, and Generation Z. The survey results reveal notable differences in how each generation perceives and interacts with smart technologies while travelling. Nevertheless, a common sentiment emerges among all respondents: they acknowledge that smart technologies simplify the planning process for their adventures, making travel arrangements more manageable and less stressful.
