The Impact of Digitalization to Employee Performance: The Role of Digital Literacy and Digital Adaptability

This study examines how digitalization influences employee performance, focusing on the mediating role of digital adaptability. It broadens the view of digital literacy beyond technical skills to include cognitive and behavioral aspects. A survey of 356 employees in manufacturing, finance, and service sectors undergoing digital transformation was conducted. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used for analysis. Digitalization positively impacts digital literacy, which enhances employee performance. Digital adaptability plays a key mediating role, helping employees quickly learn and apply new technologies. The findings highlight digital adaptability as vital in digital transformation. Organizations should invest in digital skills and foster continuous learning. Future studies may explore cultural and motivational factors across sectors.
