Emotion and Science Teachers’ Self-Efficacy and Identity
摘要
This chapter presents our review of emotions research relating to science teachers’ self-efficacy and identity. Overlap between self-efficacy and identity constructs meant that a combined chapter addressing both topics was warranted. The chapter begins with a review of theory and emotions in self-efficacy studies, followed by emotions in the identity studies. This chapter is unique in that reports on the second of two included studies in Eastern contexts that adopt Eastern perspectives on emotions. Discussion of empirical findings is also separated between self-efficacy and identity. We conclude the chapter by drawing together key ideas from the review of theory and empirical outcomes.
