In June of 1919 the Entente and Central Powers sent representatives to Versailles to begin to work out the details of a peace treaty that would end the war. After several months of heated discussion, they were able to draft what became the Treaty of Versailles, which would be signed by representatives from Great Britain, France, and the United States.
