In this article you will learn how to choose the ideal airfoil for your UAV. We prepared the cessna 182 rc model for this article. We chose the deep camber type airfoil design for this model. In the article, we selected this model due to the short take-off and landing runway, requiring it to generate lift force at low speeds. In this article, the terms angle of attack, leading edge, trailing edge, and chord line are explained, and different types of airfoils are analyzed. The types of airfoils were investigated and as a result, a deep camber airfoil was selected and applied to our RC plane. The reason we choose this airfoil is: high lift, ability to fly at low speeds and generating the lift at zero degrees AOA. The reason for making the RC plane practically is to fully understand and clearly explain the use of airfoils.
