The article presents the research results on stability at computer simulation switching transients in high-voltage systems. The main computational features of computer simulation transitional processes at switching off unloaded transformers and unloaded power transmission lines using different stiff ode solvers and algorithms are considered. There is studied the impact of some parameters and factors (free frequencies, attenuation, arc resistance, type of circuit breaker) on the solutions’ behavior and stability.
