The article reviews devices for determining the angular positions of fixed objects for various purposes and describes their operating principles. Options for using a mechanical liquid pendulum to determine the angles of inclination of moving objects, including the bank and pitch angles of aircraft, are considered. The principle of integration of a mechanical and electromechanical attitude indicator, combined with an alerting about the critical angles of bank and pitch of the aircraft, are presented. The procedure for removing an aircraft from a critical attitude position using visual and audio indicator messages is described.
