The removal of gates, residual plastic components formed during molding cycles, often requires manual intervention or complex systems. This work develops an automated transport system to address the challenges of gate removal in polymer injection processes for the fabrication of automotive components. The system should remove the gate from the lower mold without obstructing the injection zone. Additional goals include adaptability to limited available space, ease of installation, and the use of modular components for positional adjustments. The resulting solution addressed the critical constraints of the injection molding process while enhancing automation and operational efficiency.
