There is a robust intersection between inflammatory dermatoses and genital skin health given the number of common dermatologic diagnoses that may manifest on both female and male genitalia. Lichen sclerosus, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, lichen simplex chronicus, plasma cell vulvitis and balanitis, drug eruption, and contact dermatitis may impact the genital skin both with and without systemic involvement. Consideration of widely recognized differential diagnoses, pathohistological features, and treatment modalities for the region’s sensitive skin, as well as the necessity for more study on the topic, is crucial for improving patient disease statuses. This chapter outlines the primary clinical features, diagnostic processes, and methods of management for common inflammatory genital dermatoses for professional and trainee education and reference in intersecting medical specialties.

摘要
